Hello, and welcome to Day 16 of the “25 Days of Holiday Song”. Today’s post features Sarah, who runs her own blog These Good Old Days. Sarah writes in her guest post reflects on the idea of Christmas presents with a traditional American Christmas carol “We Three Kings”. It is a fantastic read, and you will enjoy it as well.

In her selection, Lilly talks about her favorite Christmas songs and the memories with her best friends that she shares with the song. I recently talked to Cielo Pordomingo, a musician from Argentina, about her newest release as well as her musicality. This was my first time conducting a live interview, so I was a bit nervous and anxious about how it would turn out. Initially, it was supposed to be a video interview, but I could only capture the audio.
Take a listen below the cut! (more…)
Welcome to mid-November! How are you fairing? It has gotten really cold here in Nagoya, so cold that I am craving hot pot dishes with lots of kimchi every day. Speaking of cold temps, if you haven’t check it out yet, I am still looking for writers for my “25 Days of Holiday Songs” series that will be published through December. If you are interested, let me know! I can’t wait to read and post all the blog posts about various holiday songs!
Without further ado, let me introduce today’s upcoming artist: The Sound Ninja. Though a relatively new artist — only started to release songs this year — his songs are filled with passion and creativity, especially with his latest release. (more…)
I mentioned last week in the Versatile Blogger Award post that I received another award. It’s the Sunshine Blogger Award this time from the lovely Amanda, the author of Walk a Myelin* My Shoes. I was so honored to be given this award by Amanda and I want to thank her for it.

October has been a rollercoaster for me! This weekend, I caught a terrible cold that had me bedridden for a couple of days. I am just coming back “online”, aka back to normal, after spending pretty much four days sleeping and fighting a head cold.
I have meant to write about today’s artist for a while now. This artist has recently released two new songs within the past three months, with the current released about two weeks ago. As a singer-songwriter, Jeremy Hoekstra has a beautiful talent for blending the sounds from different musical genres into his songs.
I had the privilege to review his latest release “We’re Alright”. This song’s message is very relatable to our lives. How so? Find out behind the cut! (more…)
(Disclaimer: This post is not an affiliation post. It’s just me talking about an app I like.)
It’s the afternoon. You glance at the clock and groan: It’s only 2 pm. You have three more hours till you clock out from your daily 9-5 job. But, you are tired from that after-lunch fatigue. You ponder, should you eat sweets (the sugar can energize you) or make a cup of coffee? Although these choices sound like a nice idea, they might not be the best one. I have recently been using an app called The Fabulous. I have been using it for two weeks already and enjoy it so far. Fabulous is designed for the user to do a variety of goals during the day. Some of the tasks are drinking water and eating healthy yet meaningful meals. One of the actions is exercising throughout the day. This is something I think that I’m not good at. I cannot run (I hate running actually) and I don’t have room in my tiny apartment for big equipment.
I was in a pickle: What would be the right exercise for me? (more…)
