Road to Eurovision 2021: Stefania (Greece)

It’s mid-April and we have about a month to go till the annual Eurovision contest. It will happen next month. Get excited! Though the contest was canceled last year and faces strict protocols due to the current pandemic, we can still enjoy this international contest from anywhere in the world.

Each day, I will feature a song from one of the countries that are in this year’s Eurovision. Like 2019, I will make my own predictions of who will make it to the finals and maybe win the competition. Good luck to those who are competing!

Stefania’s “Last Dance”

Every end always marks a new beginning. That is why the video with light, which always overtakes darkness, inviting all of us to remain optimistic and to firmly believe that even the unprecedented ordeal that the whole planet has been experiencing will soon be over.

Stefania’s “Last Dance” is representing Greece in this year’s Eurovision competition. The singer delivers a powerful performance with her strong vocals. She also offers a wide range of notes. The music video seems to only limit Stefania’s performance, but I have a feeling that the singer will take this song to the next level at the live semi-finals (so the rumors say). The melody is well-balanced from beginning to end with a sound composition. The lyrics are inspiring, as seen in the quote above. With these factors, Stefania’s “Last Dance” will make it to the finals.

(The rumor is that the semi-final performance of “Last Dance” will be “high-risk” as Greece and Stefania are pulling something off that no one has seen before in the competition. Let’s wait and see if its true or not.)

Trivia: Stefania was put of the girl group Kisses, who represented The Netherlands in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “Kisses & Dancin’“.
