It’s mid-April and we have about a month to go till the annual Eurovision contest. It will happen next month. Get excited! Though the contest was canceled last year and faces strict protocols due to the current pandemic, we can still enjoy this international contest from anywhere in the world.
Each day, I will feature a song from one of the countries that are in this year’s Eurovision. Like 2019, I will make my own predictions of who will make it to the finals and maybe win the competition. Good luck to those who are competing!
Uku Suviste’s “The Lucky One”
Uku Suviste‘s “The Lucky One” is presenting Estonia in this year’s Eurovision competition. A really dark yet powerful tune, Uku Suviste takes the listener on a journey throughout the tune with his smooth, haunting vocals. It might seem that Suviste tries to stay in the same range throughout “The Lucky One”, but you can hear parts where that is not the case, sections where you can hear so much potential from the singer. I feel like Suviste will take this song to another level during the finals as you can hear that he can do so much more while singing this song live.
“The Lucky One” will make it to the finals because of Suviste’s rich, haunting vocals that is accompanied with an ear-pleasing melody.
