Friday Tunes!

“Rango” by Pinto Sunshine

“Loosely about a Cowboy (outlaw) haunted by his sins. As he searches for his humanity, he loses his sanity and goes through psychosis. In reality, he is just some guy stranded in the city who created this cowboy persona as a defense mechanism. In a way, we are all that cowboy.” – Pinto Sunshine

“Hingabe” by Arian Hagen

” “Hingabe” (eng.: devotion) is my latest piano composition in which I combined my love for mystical folk melodies with my usual minimalistic and impressionistic influences.” — Arian Hagen

“Furniture” by Riley Pearce

The days all blend together and your interactions with each other grow weirder and weirder…it’s neither good nor bad, it’s just strange. It’s an observation of that absurd time for us, spending so much time in that apartment that we were becoming a part of the furniture.” — Riley Pearce as he talks about the single’s concept that details lockdown with his partner in their small apartment.

“A MI MANERA” by Ignacio Lyon

“The song is the soundtrack of a musical short film entitled “A MY WAY” where Rony the protagonist tells us about his journey to make an important decision.” — Ignacio Lyon

“Welcome to Eden’s Land” by Florian Bochkovsky

“Are You Still There?” by Thirsty Curses

Based in Raleigh, N.C., Thirsty Curses is a rock ‘n roll outfit comprised of Wilson Getchell (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Kelley Otwell (lead guitar), Phil Harrington (drums), and Clayton Herring (bass). Thirsty Curses’ sound covers a vast array of rock ‘n roll sub-genres including punk, folk, country, prog rock, 90s alternative, and pop.

The AX-80’s project is headed by musicians Afrânio Alves and Xande Rosa that decided to create songs that were influenced by the Synth Wave 80 style. Their recently released song, Algo Programado, talks about changes, about the thought that we all have: follow what we really believe in our lives! It’s an 80’s sounding tune.

“Day Tonight” by The Volcanic – Darin Christian

I wrote 32 songs in 30 days, in November of 2021 – I chose Day Tonight to be my first song to really dig into and try to finish (of course the 32 songs, were unfinished song ideas – writing 1 a day you can only do so much). I asked Kellii Scott from Failure to play drums and that really helped me stay focused on the song and work through all of the elements, the writing, the mixing, the production, etc… In the end, I think it’s a pretty kick-ass song.” — The Volcanic – Darin Christian

“Dream” by JustMoxx

“Stay” by Shifra Jacobs
