The Daily Feature: Horizonte Lied Releases a New Version of “Mal Dia”

Mexican underground electronic band Horizonte Lied just released a remastered version of one of the first songs they ever recorded, “Mal Dia”. This release was part of their “Final Remasters” project that began in December of last year. “Mal Dia” is heavily influenced by classic synthpop and industrial electronic styles that are similar to the sound of such artists as Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails. The lyrics contain a hopeful message about overcoming self-doubts and bad luck periods in our lives.

Even as a remastered version, “Mal Dia” is a fantastic electronic piece that features a spacy synthpop atmosphere with experimental rock vocal lines. Horizonte Lied explores the musical spaces thoroughly with rich and big melodic lines from the vocals and instruments. Though the band is influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode, the band makes their own expansive, experimental electronic journey with their own touches and unique melodies. It is one musical journey you cannot miss!
