Today’s Daily Feature is “Break The Fall” by South African Electropop artist ISLA. The artist had to say about the song’s meaning:
I wrote “Break The Fall” as an outlet to express all the mixed emotions I was experiencing whilst in a long-distance relationship. There were times where I felt nearly hopeless and songwriting was a way for me to deal with the pain of missing someone I truly care about- you really have to learn to trust each other. The simple act of being in love is worth it all.”
I think the lyrics will resonate with the millions across the world who are currently unable to be close to their loved ones and will hit even closer to home because of the COVID-19 pandemic in which we all were separated from people we care about.ISLA
A soothing mid-tempo pop song, “Break The Fall” is a wonderfully crafted tune with melodic vocals, soothing melodies, and gorgeous instrumentations. The vocals connect the song’s elements together with their soothing, rich tones. The instrumentation presents the song with an ethereal feel with their magically yet soothing notes. A song about that expresses bittersweet, you can feel that completely in the instrumentations and even the vocals. “Break The Fall” is a must-listen for its rich vocals, relaxing vibes, and gorgeous synth landscapes.
