It’s April and we have less than 60 days till the annual Eurovision contest that will happen next month. Get excited! Though the contest was canceled last year and faces strict protocols due to the current pandemic, we can still enjoy this international contest from anywhere in the world.
Each day, I will feature a song from one of the countries that is in this year’s Eurovision. Like 2019, I will make my own predictions of who will make it to the finals and maybe win the compeition. Good luck to those are competing!
Lesley Roy’s “Maps”
Lesley Roy‘s “Maps” is the song that will present Ireland in this year’s Eurovision. An upbeat pop-rock song, it features catchy melodies from the beginning to the end. The song features a message that Roy hopes will encourage and uplift listeners. The song also features Lesley’s bright and clear vocals that pull listeners through the song’s journey with their addictive lure.
Although the song is a little bland, I think “Maps” will make it to the finals for Lesley’s vocals, but also because of the uplifting, upbeat melodies and messages. (I think it is going to make it by the skins of its teeth).
