Freezing For the Moment With Midas Hutch’s Newest Single “Freeze”

Freezing For the Moment With Midas Hutch’s Newest Single “Freeze”

Just recently, I asked my readers what was on their summer playlists. I mentioned one must-listen in that post, but today, I have another recommendation. Thanks in part to the prompt for this week’s #SongLyricsSunday, which is “Cool/Freeze/Heat/Melt”.

The song? It’s “Freeze” by Dutch singer Midas Hutch. Check it out below!

(This is part of a #SongLyricsSunday challenge, which is hosted by Jim at An Unique Title For Me. Anyone can join! Details on how to participate are found at the end of this post!)

Bringing Back The Retro Summer Vibe

Midas Hutch

Midas Hutch’s “Freeze” was just released last Wednesday, perfect timing as summer just began a week ago! The song embodies the chilled summer vibe, especially in the mellow and high-pitched synthesized bits in the chorus. The song’s mood also gives off a laidback vibe, especially during the verses with the low synthesizer supporting Hutch crooning those notes.

The second factor that makes “Freeze” such a great song is Midas Hutch’s vocals. Such fabulous vocals: full of flavor and soul. His flavorful vocals add depth and groove to the tune. I can’t get enough of Hutch’s vocals as I love them! They are perfect!

Of course, the final factor is the nostalgic vibes coming from “Freeze”. If you look at the Midas Hutch’s Spotify page, you find this in his About section: “Midas Hutch’s music is inspired by the warm and funky Disco and R&B sounds of the ’80s and ’90s”. Those R&B sounds of the ’80s and ’90s are what is present in “Freeze”. I just love it! How MNEK (the songwriter behind the song) uses these nostalgic vibes in “Freeze” is just perfect!

My Final Thoughts

I strongly recommend listening to Midas Hutch’s new single as it is such a perfect song for summer: mellow, full of flavor, and just chilled. I love the chilled sound in the instrumentation, Hutch’s vocals with soul, and the nostalgic R&B sounds of the ’80s and ’90s. Midas Hutch’s “Freeze” is a definite must-listen for your summer playlist!

Lyrics for “Freeze” by Midas Hutch

A thousand miles an hour
The pace is pumping but we ain’t got superpowers
Make me invisible so you can see what I mean
When I say we should freeze for the moment
for the moment

If it’s funny to you
I’ll keep the groove going
If it’s nothing to you
than I’ll keep it comin’

We shoud contriol the cruise
Went from zero to hundred
How can we make it last
We’re going way to fast

Freeze
For the moment before it gets too much
We should just believe
We are chosen to fall deep in love

But don’t leave me out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
To freeze all on my own

But don’t leave me out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
To freeze all on my own

Every second every minute
We’re still driving till we’re reaching other limits
We will be invincible but you can see what I mean
When I say we should fix before it’s broken
before it’s broken

If it’s funny to you
I’ll keep the groove going
If it’s nothing to you
than I’ll keep it comin’

We shoud contriol the cruise
Went from zero to hundred
How can we make it last
We’re going way to fast

Freeze
For the moment before it gets too much
We should just believe
We are chosen to fall deep in love

But don’t leave me out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
To freeze all on my own

But don’t leave me out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
To freeze all on my own

To freeze to frezze
To freeze all on my own
To freeze all on my own
To freeze all on my own

But don’t leave me out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
out in the cold baby
To freeze all on my own
