Today’s Daily Feature is actually an album by Irish Alt-Rock band polxroid. The nine-track album was recorded during the lockdown, a time where many struggled to see a future. The band’s album touches on these feelings surrounding the lockdowns and the pandemic in each track. Those feelings about being stuck with nowhere to go insight, while being nostalgic about the good ole days.
Standing Still and Going Nowhere is a mixture of modern song-writing and nostalgic sounds of the 90s rock sound. It features nine solid tracks that have brilliantly crafted lyrics and infectious rock melodies.polxroid’s latest album is the perfect rock salute towards everyone’s experience of saying goodbye to youth and growing up.

About the Arist: polxroid
polxroid is an Alt-Rock band with Catherine Gallagher (Vocals, Bass), Ciarán Coleman (Vocals, Lead Guitar) Seán Coleman (Drum), and Conor Duffy (Rhythm Guitar). Formed in 2020 in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Ciarán and Catherine started writing songs together after they met in the fourth year of secondary school in 2019. They quickly released their rock tendencies were bigger than the two of them so they enlisted the help of Ciarán’s brother Seán on drums and their friend Conor on rhythm guitar. The final formation was settled in early 2021.
