I’m back with another interview! American country/pop/rock singer-songwriter Rae Radick recently sat down and talked with ai love music. This energic and bubbly singer talked about her inspirations, her musical path, and her latest single “Sorry’s Not Good Enough”. What is the most important to take away from this tune? Continue on to find out!
About the Artist: Rae Radick

Rae Radick is an American artist who is from Pennsylvania and currently residing in New York City. She started dancing when she was three years old and danced until college. After securing the lead in her school’s play in sixth grade, Radick’s father signed her up for vocal lessons. “Ever since then, I fell in love with singing and dancing,” she explained, “then when I was sixteen years old, I really wanted to learn more about [song]writing.”
During that time, she asked her parents for guitar and piano lessons as she wanted to really learn about songwriting. She then went to college to pursue musical theater and then moved to New York right after graduating.
When asked about her musical influences, the singer-songwriter said she had so many influences. However, if she had to pick, Radick said that her first pick would be Stevie Nicks as she has been a big fan of Nicks when she was little. She also cites Kacey Musgraves as her influence as Radick really loves the way she tells her stories: the clever lyrics and the interesting way she writes her songs. And, her final influence is Keith Urban as she loves the way that Urban pours his heart out when he performs.
Radick’s writing is a mixture of her suburban upbringing and living in a big city. She describes it as “Pennsylvania roots with New York City’s spirit”.”The Pennsylvania roots are all about family and growing up in a small town where you know everyone, a little bit more of that groundedness and the issues of being in a small town,” she details, “And the New York City’s spirit is just the energy. There is a pace and a vibe, and everyone feels it. The storytelling aspect comes from the suburbs, but the energy, pace, and spirit is the New York City’s spirit.”
The Message Inside “Sorry’s Not Good Enough”

Rae Radick’s latest single is “Sorry’s Not Good Enough”. It is very different than her previous two singles, sound-wise. Radick told me that she wanted a country-pop sound for her first two singles. And then, when she was beginning to write “Sorry’s Not Good Enough”, she sat down with her production team and told them that she wanted to do a pop song. She wanted no country it, just a pure pop song. The reason why she wanted to do this because she wanted to play a little bit, and experiment with what her audience wants to hear from her.
When asked about the most important point in “Sorry’s Not Good Enough”, the singer-songwriter had this to say:
When you’re in a relationship with someone and you’re going back and forth. Should I be with them? Should I not be with them? They are toxic for me, but they make me so happy. I say the most important thing is to trust your gut.
If your instincts are telling you that this person is not good for you, then you should really listen to that. And if your gut is also telling you that this person is the love of your life, and telling you to need to go therapy, then you should go to therapy and work on your communication skills. But, at the end of the day, you really have to get in touch with your instincts and listen to your heart.
How about you, what do you get from the song? What vibes or messages do you hear? Check out “Sorry’s Not Good Enough” by Rae Radick down below and tells me your thoughts in the comments!

I love the song and loved learning more about her! Definitely going to follow her!
It’s always interesting to get into the minds of musicians! I am not a musician myself and have no musical talent at all, so I am intrigued!
I actually just heard this song for the first time recently when I was listening to a country mix playlist on my echo. It definitely caught my attention and I really enjoy the song.
She has a beautiful voice. It’s great to build it during kids’ age, and that’s the true passion. The song is amazing!
You’re so lucky to interview such interesting people! And get the story behind the music.
Love this song! I can definitely resonate with it after being in an on-again/off-again toxic relationship in the past.
Such a happy number! Loved the song ❤️ She is gorgeous and has such a beautiful voice 👌🏻 Great interview!
I am a musician, not a professional, but I must say the song is very nice, & she is gorgeous girl with a beautiful voice, however, I think what must be mentioned here, how talented she is !!! Just listen to her other songs, and how different they are, which means she can write any type of song she wants, a phenominal talent !!!!
