The Daily Feature: Steve MacDream Colours Harks Back to a Nostalgic Time With “Tube Screamers”

I am back with The Daily Feature! Today’s song is “Tube Screamers” by UK lo-fi rock pop artist Steve MacDream Colours. From the very first downbeat, this song will take you back to the 80s with its mixture of mellow rock melodies and that awesome accompanying saxophone line. The singer’s vocals also remind the listener of certain 80s bands like Duran Duran, New Order, or Flock of Seagulls due to similar vocal tones. But besides the nostalgic factor, “Tube Screamers” is a tune that features a nice, mellow vibe with a mid-tempo beat.

One might be able to sense that this track is not a pure rock track. But instead, Steve MacDream Colours’ “Tube Screamers” features many different genres: rock, pop, jazz, folk, and maybe other genres. With the mixture of diverse genres, “Tube Screamers” is not only a great song for nostalgia but a great one that features mellow and pleasant melodies found in the soft instrumentations and rockish vocals. A nice listen for any day of the week!
