Our favorite songs are usually our favorites due to many things. These can be the catchy melodies, the instrumentation, or our favorite albums. Yet, the lyrics must speak to us…
The songs I featured were from bands that were super popular in the 90s. Ironically, the two songs were released in the same year: 1997. The first song is "Mama" by the world-famous girl group The Spice Girls. The other song is "A Song For My Mama" by the most popular R&B groups of the 90s: Boyz II Men. So, listen to both of the songs and vote for your favorite in the comments below!
The song “Sunset” really embodies a true sunset musically from the first note. It is full of warmth and a laid-back yet positive vibes through each note. My favorite part, the chorus, is one example of how the melody embodies the sun setting. Besides that, the lyrics really demonstrate a deep love through a sunshine metaphor. With the beautiful melodies and well-written lyrics, the “cherry on the top” for “Sunset” is Terrie’s vocals as they are full of warmth, passion, and smooth yet positive vocal tones. “Sunset” is such a relaxing, soothing, and beautiful tune about being madly in love. A must listen to on any occasion.

If you don’t know the different types of hot drinks, don’t worry. This 80s’ song from a famous American fast food chain got you covered.
Late last night Japan time, the world experienced the passing of a musical legend. Even before I was born, this legend was a staple of American popular music.
