(Check out last’s week post: The Weekly for the Week of September 19 – 25)
“Royality” by Prospect Lux x HOLDN
“This song was born from an active imagination session about the thread of humanity that leads to love with a sentient AI. The writing and production were done first, and then the final vocals were performed by NJ Dark-Pop artist “HOLDN”, who’s voice represents the perspective of the AI. The promotion plan includes collaborative social media postings, independent playlist promotions and potentially, the inclusion of the song in a burgeoning Metaverse world that is currently in production.” — Prospect Lux
“purified” by ecco 64
“It blends all our favorite elements of hyperpop and digicore all while keeping it uplifting and energetic.” — ecco 64
“All I can” by 80 Bubbles
80 Bubbles is a solo production of European resident singer/producer SilkZ. After participating in several indie genre groups now a debut single is out in 2020 with synth pop, slightly retro music style. First song Beyond Recall is reflecting feelings of breaking up with its sad, “hard to understand and let go” mood.
“Impossible Summer” by FNTN
“”Impossible Summer” is a nostalgic look back on a summer romance that was so close to working out while remaining so far out of reach. It evokes the feeling of being alone on the beach, daydreaming about a younger and more naive version of yourself.” — FNTN
“Heaven” by The Steens
“If life was a dream, then dying must be the moment when we wake up…it’s so simple. We think the hard parts dying, that’s the easy part. The hard part is living. That’s what people mean when they talk about going to heaven, so have a good day. ” — The Steens
“doubtful” by Rob Eberle
Rob writes all of his own music, lyrics and works with various producers to create unique moments within his songs. Each one of Eberle’s songs are stories and moments into his life and others around him. Influences from an eclectic group of artists such as FINNEAS & Billie Eilish all the way to Madison Beer, Olivia Rodrigo and Panic! At the Disco have helped to create Eberle’s genre bending darker-alternative to traditional Pop Rock.
“What I’m Looking For” by John Sullivan x Sulli & friends
“A fun easy listening song about life. Good pace, good energy.” — John Sullivan
“Lying To Mysled” by Audio Jacked
“”Lying to Myself” takes you on an emotional journey with the singer (Jessie Wagner), coming to a realisation that she has been lying to herself about wanting to be alone. A beautiful piano and vocals intro builds pace as the song progresses and the story develops. Perhaps the bravest song for Audio Jacked to date.” — Audio Jacked
“Matter of Time” by BOOTY
“Self-produced by B00TY, the track is a masterstroke of cool, sensual neo-soul, with a smooth-as-silk groove recalling the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, crossed with the alluring pop sensibility of, say, Hall & Oates, a bit of Bee-Gees disco vibes and a dash of Hot Chip’s modern electronic sensibility. Lyrically, it’s a purely positive affirmation on wanting something and believing in it enough to wait it out.” — BOOTY
“Starfire” by Starfire
In 1978 four boys in Ann Arbor, MI, ages 15-17, formed the band Starfire. They had all been in previous bands in the past year or so and had started writing songs. Starting with these and writing more together as a band, they soon had several to work with. They worked on these songs and created a live show in a barn that had been converted into a garage. They became known in the area for having more original songs than many other area bands at the time.
